| Hello. If the US wants to hold more nuclear talks with Iran, it must rule out further strikes, Tehran's deputy foreign minister has told the BBC. In the wake of the deadly Air India crash, international business correspondent Theo Leggett reports on safety concerns raised by whistleblowers over 787 Dreamliners. And finally, professional football players needn't worry their jobs will be lost to robots anytime soon, if the level of skill on display at a tournament in China is anything to go by. | |

| | Takht-Ravanchi also hit out at some European leaders for what he said was a "ridiculous" endorsement of the strikes by Israel and the US. Credit: BBC | The US must rule out further strikes on Iran if it wants to resume talks over Tehran's nuclear program, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanch has told the BBC. Talks came to a halt earlier this month when Israel struck Iranian nuclear sites and military infrastructure, with the US also carrying out strikes, and Iran responded with missiles. Takht-Ravanchi denied Iran was developing a nuclear bomb, but said his country would "insist" on being able to enrich uranium for what he claimed are peaceful purposes. US President Donald Trump has said he would "absolutely" consider bombing Iran again if it was enriching uranium to concerning levels. |

| BEYOND THE HEADLINES | The 787 Dreamliner was deemed 'safest' of planes. Whistleblowers were less sure |
|

Credit: Getty Images | The Air India tragedy involved one of Boeing's most innovative and popular planes - the 787 Dreamliner. Until now, it was considered one of its safest too. But long before the crash which killed 270 people, whistleblowers had raised numerous concerns about production standards. Some have claimed that potentially dangerously flawed aircraft have been allowed into service – allegations the company has consistently denied. |

And finally... in China | A football tournament between humanoid robots in China made the beautiful game look anything but. The pace of the matches were decidedly slower than what spectators are used to, although as you can see, players dived just as much. Although the teams were powered autonomously using AI, the current World Cup teams don't need to worry about their jobs just yet. | |
