“Central Bank Digital Currency” is a digital form of the fiat currency launched by the central banks of a country. Around the world, central banks have been playing with the concept of digital currencies for quite some time now. The governments are seeing the value of innovations in electronic payments and storing value. According to a BIS survey, 80% of the central banks are open to exploring the possibilities of launching a digital currency in their respective countries.
