Update to the UK Sanctions List: Global Human Rights Regime Today, 24 March, the UK Government has designated 4 individuals under the Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime. This package targets former Sri Lankan commanders and an exâLiberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) commander responsible for serious human rights violations and abuses during the civil war under the Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulation 2020. The following individuals have been sanctioned: Communications New email alert service This announcement has been shared as part of the new combined Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Office of Trade Sanctions Implementation (OTSI), and Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) email alert service which launched on 19 March.
