We've previously communicated that our new provider portal would be available to all providers yesterday. Unfortunately due to a technical problem not all providers were able to sign up to the portal. We want to apologise for the inconvenience this caused. We have now fixed this issue and the new portal is now available for all providers to create an account From today you'll be able to submit the following notifications through the new provider portal: SN16:Death of a person using the service SN17:Death of a detained mental health patient SN18:Allegations of abuse SN18:Outcome of an application to deprive a person of their liberty (DoLS) SN18:Events that stop a service running safely or properly SN18:Police involvement in an incident SN18:Serious injury to a person using a service Coming soon: You'll be able to delegate access to other people in your organisation You'll be able to undertake more registration activities It's important that registered managers in the same provider don't use a shared email address to create their provider portal account. Previously, we allowed people to use shared email addresses for portaluser accounts. To increase security for all users and to maintain confidentiality, we can no longer allow this. Each user must use a unique email address on our new provider portal. New provide portal accounts will synchronise with our registration data. Because of this, emailssuch as[email protected], utilised by multiple registered managers at a provider will now be restricted to one user on the portal. This adjustment ensures that each user has a unique login credential, enhancing security and accountability within the CQC's systems. Registered managers currently sharing an email address should change to a unique email address and notify us as soon as possible. To update us you will need to submit aChanges to registered details: change contact details notification form From 10:30 today ourexisting provider portalwill become read-only. That means you won't be able to use the portal to make changes or send us new information. You will still be able to access and download your saved data until the end of March 2024. |
