In 1990, Jews of the collapsing Soviet Empire began to escape their antisemitic prison in large numbers. Over one million of them repatriated to Israel and made up the country’s biggest, most educated immigration wave ever. They dramatically changed nearly every aspect of Israel’s life, from science to sports. What is their net impact and how will this influence Israel going forward?

Mr. Selsky made Aliyah to Israel from Russia alone at age of 16 in 1993. He served as an advisor to Prime Minister Netanyahu in 2010-13. Today, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Middle East Forum-Israel, a senior adviser to the Israel Victory Project, and CEO of the International Israel Beytenu movement.
