KQED Silicon Valley Conversations: The Future of Your Commute
February 5, 2019 @ 7 pm
KQED Studios, San Francisco
Can technology solve your dreaded commute? Do we need smarter urban design? Will autonomous vehicles rationalize the road? Will shared scooters cover that last mile to your final destination? KQED Silicon Valley Bureau Chief Tonya Mosley talks to innovators working to understand the causes of everyday Bay Area transportation headaches and create solutions for a swifter, safer, more equitable commute.

We will be joined by Peter Calthorpe, urban planner at Calthorpe Associates, Dr. Melissa Cefkin, researcher at Nissan, and Sanjay Dastoor, the co-founder and CEO of Skip.

The Capitol Steps are back!
March 17, 2019 @ 3 pm
Herbst Theatre War Memorial
The Capitol Steps jump into the post-midterm fray to create their latest side‐splitting comedy show. Long before the likes of The Daily Show and the Colbert Report, this Washington DC-based comedy troupe has been tickling the hysterical-funny bone of audiences for decades with their bipartisan lampooning. If you’ve been keeping up with the news, you know there’s no shortage of material. Come see the musical-satire comedy show!
