House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is pushing back after Democratic political strategist James Carville called Johnson a "Christian nationalist" and stated that his worldview poses a greater threat to the U.S. than al Qaeda. Johnson said it was "twisted and shameful" to call millions of Christian Americans "a greater threat than foreign terrorists who murdered more than 3,000 Americans" and said Democrats should condemn the statement, "But they won't." A Bible was reportedly removed from a commemorative table for missing service members and prisoners of war at a Kentucky Veterans Affairs facility following a complaint.
