UIA Council meets in Tunis The UIA Council met in Tunis, Tunisia on 20-21 May 2024. Hosted by the Ordre des Architectes de Tunisie, the Council deliberated on matters regarding the Union and received the reports of its Commissions. |

Ordre des Architectes de Tunisie - 50th Anniversary The Ordre des Architectes de Tunisie celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 22 May 2024. With a conference held to deliberate on the role the architect as a vector for development, the event concluded with a joint declaration signed by the UIA, UMAR (Union of Mediterranean Architects), FAFA (Fédération des Architectes Francophones d’Afrique), AAF (Alliance des Architectes Francophones) and the OAT (Ordre des Architectes de Tunisie) UIA President Regina Gonthier attended the event on behalf of the Union and in her speech highlighted the architects' vital responsibility to advocate for the quality of architecture as well as create a sustainable, inclusive and resilient built and living environment.
