 COPENHAGEN CONGRESS: CALLING ALL RESEARCHERS OF ARCHITECTURE 

The UIA Copenhagen Congress is looking for new research & knowledge that critically explores ways in which architecture and the built environment link to the SDGs and their objectives to contribute to the UIA2023CPH World Congress Science Track. 

Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present at the UIA 2023 Copenhagen World Congress and their papers will be published in the peer-reviewed proceedings published by Springer.

TURKEY: NEW PRESIDENT 

Eyup Muhcu is President of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT). Graduate of Black Sea Technical University and practicing architect, he has held numerous positions at CAT and contributed to the creation of the Foundation for Architecture (MIV). He succeeds Deniz Incendayi.

NEW ZEALAND: NEW PRESIDENT 

Judith Taylor was elected President of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects on 16 June for a period of 2 years. An Auckland-based architect, she possesses over 40 years of professional experience. Judith Taylor succeeds Judi Keith-Brown in the position.

KOREA:  ARCHITECTS CONVENTION 

This year's KIRA Convention will take place 1-3 September. The theme will be Architects as unity, Filling the better future in a changing era. The event schedule includes a keynote speech, special lectures, a screening from the Seoul International Film Festival and an architecture tour.

SPAIN: NATIONAL ARCHITECTURE AWARD  

Carme Pinós received the Premio Nacional de Arquitectura 2021. The  award recognizes Pinós’ professional career and her contributions that have made her a reference for architecture both nationally and internationally. The award ceremony took place on 26 May.

BRAZIL: INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL 

Travessias - 13ª São Paulo International Biennial of Architecture is ongoing, ending on 17 July 2022 in São Paulo. Organised by the Instituto de Arquitectos do Brazil - São Paulo (IABsp), the event features exhibitions, meetings, workshops, performances, and guided tours.

KENYA: AAK CONVENTION 2022 

The AAK Convention organised annually by the  Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) will be held as a hybrid event from 6-8 July 2022. The event brings together members, industry practitioners and stakeholders for discussions on themes of common concern.

ACE: NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS FESTIVAL 

The New European Bauhaus Festival will take place from 9 to 12 June 2022 as a hybrid event

The core activities of the Festival will take place in Brussels, with side events across the EU and beyond. Organised by the European Commission, the first edition of this festival will bring together people from all walks of life to debate and shape a sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful future.
