The Big Three Japanese automakers all saw positive results in the month of September, with CUVs fueling Toyota, cars driving Honda and a mix propelling Nissan.
The automaker says about a third of its sales increase can be credited to post-Harvey demand in Houston, but even without that bump the market overall was strong in the month.
U.S. automakers sold 1.52 million light vehicles in September, a 1.9% gain in daily sales rate from same-month 2016.
