U.S. equity markets held onto small gains Wednesday as investors awaited a Congressional antitrust hearing with Silicon Valley chieftains.U.S. equity markets held small gains on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserveâs latest economic assessment and digested another healthy dose of corporate earnings.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 20 points, or 0.08 percent, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.37 percent and 0.66 percent, respectively. With the Fed expected to hold interest rates near zero, investors will be paying attention to the central bankâs appraisal of the U.S. economy and keying in on any clues as to how long the low rates may last. The central bank will share the results of its meeting at 2 p.m. ET.
