Our Luke Johnson covers the roster cuts made by the Saints to reach the required limit of 80. No real surprises here. The big cuts come next week. The Saints also placed three players on injured reserve, including a couple of key contributors on defense, writes Amie Just. Amie also checks in with her regular recap of the snap counts for the Saints in the exhibition game. In more off-field news, Doug MacCash reports that 99 people received vaccinations outside the Superdome before the Saints' preseason game on Monday night. Saints spokesman Greg Bensel also said the estimated crowd for the game was about 35,000. Wednesday is an R&R day for the Saints. They're off. No practice.
