'DobSeeker' hotline 'demonises' the unemployed, advocates say |

Aeryn Brown has had no luck finding a job during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 36-year-old graduated from university with a communications degree but has been surviving on JobSeeker payments. Ms Brown said a hotline announced by the federal government in February that allows employers to report jobseekers had added to the pressure of trying to find work. There has also been an increase in mutual obligations that must be met by JobSeeker recipients, including looking for at least 15 jobs a month. |
