Firms hit by last week's massive IT outage are being warned to be wary of scammers and hackers looking to take advantage of the situation, Digital Trends reported. The global incident impacting multiple industries kicked off on Thursday and continued into Friday when an update for Windows hosts that contained an error was rolled out by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike. In a blog post, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz warned that “adversaries and bad actors will try to exploit events like this.” CrowdStrike followed up with another post saying that threat actors had already started distributing a malicious ZIP archive that could lead to an attacker gaining control of an infected computer ... |

Hisense has officially launched its CanvasTV in the U.S., Home Theater Review reported. The 4K QLED CanvasTV competes with Samsung’s The Frame, but has a more attractive price tag. For example, the 65-inch model costs $1,300, considerably less than Samsung’s $2,000 equivalent. Hisense will also launch a 55-inch version of the CanvasTV in the coming months costing $999. The CanvasTV’s Art Mode is described in the report as “one of its standout features,” as it allows the display to showcase preloaded artworks spanning Renaissance, modern, and abstract styles. On its opening weekend, Twisters raked in a very impressive $80.5 million from 4,151 theaters in North America, Variety reported. The standalone sequel to the 1996 disaster epic Twister was only forecast to generate revenue of up to $55 million, so Universal Pictures will be delighted with the outcome. The success makes it the third-biggest opening weekend so far this year, with Inside Out 2 the current leader with a $154 million take and Dune: Part Two in second place with $82 million. A leaked trailer (above) of Guilty Gear Strive's fourth season has landed online, Eurogamer reported. The video first appeared as an unlisted upload on YouTube, but when word about it started to get around, it was quickly marked as private. But by that time, others had already uploaded it to their own channels. The leak suggests Guilty Gear Strive season 4 will boast new stages, an exclusive new color, and the all-new "Team of 3" mode, Eurogamer said.
