Jambo John!

I’m a couple of decades behind (on many things), but I finally read all of the Harry Potter books.

It’s been a ritual I’ll miss, just before tucking our daughter into bed.

Those books and their winding, brilliant, unpredictable narratives will be one of this year’s highlights for me, like Hamilton was last year.

The last 100 pages of the final book were the best of the best, as so many intricate parts of the series were masterfully brought together, and whereupon the greatest twist of all appeared, revealing a deep, agonizing, unrequited love I had never suspected. I’d like to share more, but I don’t want to be a spoiler!

Instead, let me remind you of the lessons those books reminded me of:

1. Magic is real 🪄

2. Love is greater 💛

3. Never judge others ☮️

4. Everything is better with friends 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

5. Kindness and goodness always prevail 💞

6. There’s always far more happening than meets the eye, and... 🦄

7. Nothing is ever lost. ♾️
