But a little plastic device can turn a pistol automatic, meaning one extended pull of the trigger can unleash a spray of bullets. These devices, called auto sears or "Glock switches," make guns much more dangerous. And Baton Rouge law enforcement leaders say they've started finding them more often in local shootings. For a while there, Baton Rouge had a red-hot real estate market. But now the Federal Reserve is ratcheting up interest rates in an attempt to fight inflation, and that means homebuyers can't get as much money — and not as much house.
