“I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things in life which are the real ones after all."
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Hey, it's Rachelle here...
Some people say simplicity is key to a happy and peaceful life 🌈, and when it comes to setting up inspiring art and design prompts for kids, it's almost always best to keep things simple.
I've personally experienced a frantic and overwhelmed response when faced with things like:
Ugh, just writing all of that is making my skin itch.🙀
Which is why I like to keep things simple, especially with art prompts.
It also turns out kids don't need overly complicated materials or projects to occupy their minds and keep them happy.
That's where today's design prompt comes to the rescue.
Like so many of the ideas I share at TinkerLab, this one requires a few basic supplies.
⭐️String ⭐️Scissors ⭐️Painter's Tape ⭐️Spaghetti (dry) ⭐️A marshmallow or pom pom ⭐️Ruler (optional)
Simple materials, right?
You may have also noticed that they aren't messy materials, so this is a great one to try when you just don't have the bandwidth for cleaning brushes and painty hands.
Now what do you do with these supplies?
We'll call this the Spaghetti Tower Marshmallow Challenge.
And this is your challenge, should you decide to take it:
Build the tallest tower possible in 18 minutes that will support the marshmallow.

Message me back if you try this. Send me photos! Write a Review! I'd love to hear how it goes.
By the way, exciting news that we're opening the Schoolhouse doors for new members in a few days.
Keep an eye out for more on that soon.
All my best,
Rachelle :)
