Snowed in: COVID-19 lockdown traps man in haunted house Those of you still on lockdown are probably sick and tired of staring at the same four walls every day. But look on the bright side: It could always be worse. Just ask Brent Underwood, the new owner of the abandoned Cerro Gordo mining town. Underwood initially bought the land to convert into short-term rental units, but circumstances changed after a freak snowstorm made travel outside the area impossible. Following that, the COVID-19 lockdown went into effect throughout the state of California, which meant Underwood was stuck indoors for the foreseeable future. Fortunately, Underwood had plenty of good company to spend his time indoors with. According to local legend, the shack he was staying in is haunted by the ghosts of two children who were trapped in a locked closet. What’s more, he doesn’t even deny they exist at this point. Over the course of his stay, he’s described mysterious noises and objects moving on their own. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if it was only one ghost. Three’s a crowd, after all. People should really be warned when the house they’re buying is haunted — as these good sellers do here. Tap or click here to see if you’d buy this “slightly” haunted house. → |
