Discount stores’ net sales rise during pandemic

With cheaper prices and locations nearer to homes, discount stores that sell essential goods crushed their third quarter net sales for 2020, according to Colliers International.

Dozen employers partnering Nov. 5 to fill local jobs

SC Works Trident will host an open-air job fair Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in North Charleston with 12 area employers. The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments, which is organizaing the job fair, said the event could push against the nearly 5% regional unemployment rate.
