The expansion more than doubles IFA’s original operation at the Charleston Trade Center and will allow the company, which makes driveshafts for automotive manufacturers, to consolidate operations from a second facility in Ladson.

Michelin distribution hub to export tires through Greer port

Michelin will expand its use of Inland Port Greer by exporting finished tires from its 3 million-square-foot distribution center in Woodruff — the tiremaker's largest distribution center serving 60% of its North American customers.

Mystery seeds showing up in S.C. mailboxes

The S.C. Department of Agriculture and Clemson University are investigating instances of residents receiving unsolicited seed packages from China. Similar packages have been received in Washington state, Virginia and Utah. The Washington State Department of Agriculture reported that the packages received there usually are marked as containing jewelry.
