Mount Pleasant workforce housing gets 1st approval

A proposed workforce housing development has received initial approval from Mount Pleasant Town Council. The development would include 42 multifamily units priced from $212,000 to $285,000.

Berkeley County to offer ManuFirstSC training in Cainhoy

The county will host an information session for residents interested in training for manufacturing positions at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 at Cainhoy Elementary School. Attendees will be able to sign up for the three-week ManuFirstSC course that begins March 14, which provides manufacturing skills for available jobs in the area.

S.C. legislators face big issues as session resumes

Prisma Health is planning layoffs that will affect 327 employees throughout the system. The company has already shed 200 jobs from attrition and consolidation, for a total of 527 jobs cut overall.
