| Navy establishes Palmetto Tech Bridge to speed innovation The Naval Agility Office has established the Palmetto Tech Bridge in the Charleston area to facilitate projects that work to solve problems and technology challenges identified by fleet and Navy workforce. This is the sixth bridge established under the Naval Agility Office since Sept. 3. Goose Creek fire department receives FEMA grant The Goose Creek Rural Fire Department was awarded $552,258.29 by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for volunteer recruitment and retention. The chief of the fire department said in a news release that the grant is critical because of the decline in volunteerism in recent years. |
