I was scheduled to make a short flight last month. I wanted to bring my current quilt block project along in case I had time to work on one. One of the options found on the internet was using the cutter in a dental floss box. It works great and fits neatly into the Altoids tin I had for the paper pieced hexagons, thread, thimble, etc.

I bought all the supplies on Amazon.com, the wax, the wicks, a color kit, and a scented oil kit. Then I began making candles out of old empty jars, and then found old antique teacups and saucers. These make wonderful keepsake treasures and special gifts. And it is very easy, but requires "caution" when working with hot, melted wax.

I take old T-shirts and cut off the binding around the neck. There is no need to cut deeper as this will stretch far enough making a scoop neckline. Then comes the fun part. Use a decorative stitch on your sewing machine to sew around the neckline.

Take an old child's shirt, preferably with spaghetti straps. Turn it inside out and sew the bottom of the shirt. Turn it right way and you're done. Great for small games and books. We also use them in the summer for each child's swimsuit and towel.
Take small snack size baggie (I used larger as that is what I had). Fill up with a little bit of hair gel. I used green as I was doing a garden. Add pre-cut flowers and, there you go, a portable squeezable garden.
