| To make more putts, simplify your approach By Claude Brousseau, Golf Digest Certified Teacher Wailea Golf Academy, Wailea, HI | Most golfers overthink their technique when they’re over a putt. That’s why I recommend players try my One Option Putting, or OOP, approach. The concept is simple. After you read the putt and get into your setup, focus on where you want to start the ball. Then, look back at the ball and think, “roll the ball in the hole.” Now, swing your putter freely and remember there is no consequence to the outcome. You’ll be amazed how well you putt using this simplified strategy on the green. | |
