Eye Update
In my May 16 newsletter, I wrote about how a laser eye surgery procedure triggered a surprise "ayahuasca" ceremony for me. I urged everyone not to worry about my eye, but... some people nonetheless wrote that they were worried. I appreciate everyone's concern. To set everyone's mind at ease, here's an update:
At the follow-up with my eye doctor one week after the surgery, she discovered that my left eye was inflamed. She prescribed very mild steroid eyedrops for eight days. I avoid prescription drugs whenever possible, and don't use any regularly, but it seemed wise to follow her guidance.
The small amount of pain that remained in my left eye disappeared within 12 hours of starting the drops. When my eye doctor checked my eyes yesterday, she said that the left eye look perfect again. Plus, it's seeing with full clarity once more. Yay!
