| Facebook Is Up to Old Copycat Tricks, and TikTok Is the Target This Time | |
| | Hi there, Thanks for your time this morning. Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. If you have a few moments to spare this morning, I hope you can spend it reading this story from my colleague, Scott Nover, who took a look at how social media platforms sometimes borrow features from other platforms when creating their own creator tools. Consider Facebook's Instagram Reels (which launched last week). The feature seemingly borrowed from TikTok's infinite scroll, video editing suite and music library. Facebook wouldn't say how the feature was different from TikTok itself. Indeed, a Facebook spokesperson went on to tout other features Reels has... that TikTok also offers. Best to read the full story.
