TRB Webinar: Retrospective, Perspective, & Prospective of Transit-Oriented Development
How can transit-oriented development (TOD) shape urban development? TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM Eastern to examine TOD effects. Presenters will review transitâs historical, contemporary, and future role in urban development. They will also discuss the impacts of TOD on travel behavior, real estate prices, residential location, urban form, and community life. Finally, presenters will identify policy issues and decision-support tools of TOD planning as well as technologies to assist in TOD further development. This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Committee on Economic Development and Land Use. Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Professional engineers (PEs) who register and attend the entire webinar as an individual will be awarded 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs). TRBâs webinar program awards PDH credits only to the registered individual, and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.
