TRB Webinar: Guide for transportation performance management and data Transportation Performance Management (TPM) provides a way to make visible progress in meeting agency objectives. TRB is hosting a webinar on Monday, March 30, from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Eastern that will present guidance for making effective use of data for Transportation Performance Management (TPM). The presenters will showcase how TPM can contribute to progress in reducing fatalities, improving asset condition, eliminating bottlenecks, and speeding up project delivery. They will also cover the full data life-cycle, from understanding data needs to using data to drive decision making. The webinar will also discuss the careful attention that needs to be applied to assessing data and implementation of proven data management practices. This webinar draws on research from NCHRP Research Report 920: Management and Use of Data for Transportation Performance Management: Guide for Practitioners Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar. Learning Objectives At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to: Describe the different phases of the data life cycle and list activities to be carried out in order to support TPM Identify data management improvements to consider for their agencies based on capability benchmarks for basic and advancing practice Integrate tips and examples of practice presented in the webinar into their agency's efforts to avoid common pitfalls in how TPM initiatives are scoped and carried out. Professional Development Hour Information A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be provided to Professional Engineers (PEs) who register and attend the webinar as an individual. For approved webinars, TRBs webinar program awards Registered Continuing Education Provider (RCEP) Professional Development Hour (PDH) credits associated with participation only to the registered individual and not to other members of a group that view the webinar together. To receive PDH credits, please register as an individual and sign into the webinar from your personal computer. After doing this, you may join your group in a meeting room. To be eligible for the credits, individuals must remain signed in for the entire webinar, including for any question and answer session following the presentations.
