TRB Webinar: Casting Connections Improving Performance and Durability of Steel Bridges What are some advantages to using castings in complex connections of steel bridges? TRB will host a webinar on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 1:00-2:30 PM Eastern that will discuss material properties and design considerations of cast nodes on bridges. Presenters will identify the potential for castings on steel bridges and compare the performance and durability of these castings to welded assemblies. They will describe applications for cast nodes in order for engineers to use them to improve bridge connections and provide a case study of a bridge that used cast nodes. This webinar was organized by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Steel Bridges. Some registrants will need to pay $95 to attend this webinar.
