A few years ago, I invited members of our travel group to volunteer for a day at the Jamaica Sudbury Primary and Infant School. I asked the principal what students needed the most, and she said backpacks and book bags. We collected more than 300 backpacks from donations. I got in touch with The Sandals Foundation, and we joined their Pack for a Purpose™ initiative and they helped us ship the supplies to Jamaica. In May 2019, I flew to Jamaica with the group and we personally delivered the backpacks to every single child at the school. Since 2018, I have also been involved in sponsoring a child who is now starting college, and we have developed a strong relationship over the three years. Thanks to The Sandals Foundation, my clients and I are am able to give back and make a difference. | |
