There's no silver lining to the Cooper Kupp injury. While he appears to have avoided a worst-case scenario, reports Monday indicated he is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which likely means a multi-week absence, with at least a possibility that Kupp's season is over. |
The Rams offense already felt pretty hopeless with Kupp, and there might not be much reason for Fantasy players to pay attention to them moving forward. Allen Robinson looks washed up and can't get any separation and Van Jefferson doesn't look capable of providing much more than the threat of doing something down the field; Matthew Stafford hasn't looked right all season anyway. And the running backs look completely punch-less, with an offensive line doing them no favors even if they could make plays. Tyler Higbee is at least tight end eligible, which might make him the only viable starting option on this offense at this point. |
Things could be pretty ugly for the Rams, and obviously, losing arguably the best player in Fantasy isn't going to help your teams if you have him. In the rest of today's newsletter, you'll find Jamey Eisenberg's top waiver-wire targets for Week 11 to help try to find some reinforcements -- and there are actually a few pretty intriguing options, even if none of them will replace what Kupp brings to the table. |

➕Top Week 11 Waiver Wire Targets |
|
One thing that makes Cooper Kupp's injury slightly easier to swallow is that there's no shortage of very interesting wide receivers who are widely available on waivers heading into Week 11, and they top the list of priorities for this week's waiver-wire run. Here are Jamey Eisenberg's top targets on waivers for Week 11: |
|
Jamey Eisenberg's top targets |
Kadarius Toney, WR, Chiefs (69%) -- Toney's issues have been more related to his inability to get on the field; when he's been out there, he's consistently looked like a playmaker. That remained true in Week 10, his first extended opportunity with the Chiefs, as he caught four of five passes for 57 yards and a touchdown. He'll need his role to continue to grow -- he played 44% of the snaps and was third on the team in routes at WR despite JuJu Smith-Schuster's early exit and Mecole Hardman's absence. But if that happens, he's got the combination of talent and opportunity to potentially be a league-winner down the stretch. Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR, Browns (52%) -- Peoples-Jones was a solid deep threat last season, but he's been more than that in 2021 -- he's not far off a 1,000-yard pace and has been especially great lately, with 70 or more yards in five of his past six games. Where the upside really comes in is if Deshaun Watson shakes off the rust quickly after his Week 13 return from suspension; Peoples-Jones could have top-24 upside with Watson. Parris Campbell, WR, Colts (31%) -- If you desperately need a win in Week 11, I might prefer Campbell to any other player listed here. He doesn't have the upside the other guys do, but he does have 32 targets in his past three games with Matt Ryan, with a touchdown in each. I'm not sure what kind of role some of these guys have even coming off big games; I'm pretty sure Campbell is going to be worth using this week, at least. Christian Watson, WR, Packers (14%) -- Watson's blend of rare size and athleticism and opportunity might make him the highest-upside player on this list. He's massive and fast and could be the deep threat the Packers have sorely needed all season. The question is whether he can turn his three-touchdown game in Week 10 into something more than just a big-play role -- can he be Aaron Rodgers' No. 1 target the rest of the way? He's got a chance, at least, and he needs to be universally rostered for that alone. Cole Kmet, TE, Bears (67%) -- We're always looking for starting tight ends on waivers, and Kmet's role is starting to make him look like one. He has 13 targets over the past two games, which matters even more to me than the five touchdowns in his past three games. If Kmet is going to get six or so targets every week, he'll be worth using with an improving Justin Fields. |
