How Did We Do Predicting 2023?
Last December, we made some bold predictions regarding the state of the crypto market in 2023.
How did we do?
We predicted a Fed pause in the second half of 2023 and 5-5.25% rates. We're currently at 5.25-5.50%.
We also predicted a move into stablecoins by foreign investors looking to sidestep the stronger US Dollar. In November, stablecoin inflows turned positive for the first time in 18 months.
We claimed that CBDCs would remain a hot topic in theory, but not a reality. So far, so true.
Finally, we also predicted big tech would increasingly move increasingly into crypto. We have certainly seen an increase in institutional adoption in 2023 -- not quite big tech, but big money all the same.
Overall, we're pretty pleased with our predictions.
