In this article, we analyze the top VCs that have invested in the region.
The year 2020 has been quite eventful for different economies, with Asia being one of the largest FinTech ecosystems which had to face the wrath of COVID-19. However, Asia still stood in second place in terms of highest-funded geographies—FinTechs received $5.49 billion from PE/VC funding in 2020; in 2019, FinTechs in the region had received $9.54 billion in total. However, the Americas still topped the leaderboard for FinTech investments this year—startups in the US received $14.69 billion through PE/VC funding.
