But few know of the historical and cultural treasure awaiting them at the Amerind Foundation Museum, located just a short drive off the highway.

(March 10, 2016) - One offer calls for prospective business owners to submit a plan to buy and run the resort at the Oahe Downstream Recreation area that is located about five miles north of Fort Pierre off Highway 1806. That prospectus calls for an investment of $625,000, but comes with the right to run the concessions and resort operation at the recreation area that includes a multi-lane boat ramp, three campgrounds with 205 sites, camping cabins and a full restaurant and bar.
