Today is National Missing Children’s Day — a solemn reminder that for countless families across the country, the search has never ended. For them, today is more than just a day. It’s a symbol of enduring hope, a call to action, and a promise that their children will never be forgotten. Each year, thousands of children go missing across the United States. At the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), we work with law enforcement, families, and partners across the globe to help find and bring every child home. And our efforts are making a difference: since our founding, NCMEC has assisted in the recovery of more than 426,000 children. But the work is far from over. There are still families waiting for answers. Still children who have not yet made it home.
What You Need to Know: The latest Child Abduction Report highlights real data behind the crisis — who is most at risk, where abductions are happening, and how communities can respond faster and more effectively.
