Share your love of public radio today!
| Dear John, Today is a special day: it’s the first-ever California Public Radio Day. KQED is uniting with public radio stations across our great state, from Mendocino to San Diego, to remind you about the importance of local, non-profit, public radio. We’re all banding together today to ask that you step up and support your community station. Public radio keeps you connected and is also your oasis of vital local programming and hand-selected music. From discovering new artists to learning how to be civically engaged, you have a constant companion in public radio. Local news and entertainment is being devastated right now, making listener-supported radio more important than ever. California has a rich diversity of voices, and I’m privileged to be able to hear many of them and boost their stories on The California Report. Whether in a big city, a rural town or anywhere in between, every community deserves to be heard. That’s why it’s so important to have strong public radio stations in the Golden State. Your local stations not only bring you national programming that keeps you informed, but also shine a light on you and your neighbors, bringing everyone closer together. On this California Public Radio Day, think about what California and public radio mean to you, and make a donation to KQED. Thank you for supporting the future of public broadcasting in California for generations to come! | |
