Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reposted a Russian YouTuber’s unboxing video that purports to show the not-yet-released M4 MacBook Pro.

“Unconfirmed but looks fairly legitimate,” Gurman, a prominent Apple leaker himself, said in his post, adding: “We’ve seen prototypes leak early but never a full retail Apple device weeks in advance.”

Apple isn’t even doing business in Russia at the moment and the box is in English, which adds to the mystery of how it could’ve gotten into the hands of the YouTuber. However, some have pointed out that the box still shows the M3 wallpaper on it, which is odd as Apple always changes its wallpapers ...

Digital Trends tried out Remarkable’s Paper Pro tablet and found it to be a decent bit of kit, praising it for its thin and lightweight design, a new color e-ink display, ease of use for distraction-free note-taking, and long battery life.

This is the third generation of the Remarkable tablet, which debuted in 2016 before the second iteration launched in 2020. The latest version now comes with a built-in front light similar to the Kindle Paperwhite, and uses a proprietary stylus to recreate the feeling of writing with a pen and paper.

But its $579 price tag rankles somewhat, especially as it doesn’t function particularly effectively as an e-reader for articles and documents ...

Apple has just released a trailer (above) for Submerged, the first scripted film for its Immersive Video content designed to be viewed on the Vision Pro headset.

Submerged is about a WWII submarine crew dealing with a torpedo attack in what Apple describes as an “adrenaline-pumping thrill ride.” It was created by filmmaker Edward Berger, director of the Oscar-winning All Quiet on the Western Front.

“When you put on the Apple Vision Pro it does change the way you think about creating a story,” Berger said. “It's a wonderful new medium that just expands the horizon of storytelling — because you're not watching a movie anymore, you're inside the story. It's going to change the future of filmmaking” ...

It’s only one episode in but Hideo Kojima has already fallen in love with the new Netflix sci-fi anime Dan Da Dan, Total Film reported.

The adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's much-loved manga, which follows two high-schoolers discussing who’d win between ghosts and aliens.

Posting on social media, Kojima said that while hadn’t read the original manga, he’s from the generation that loves the occult and UFOs, and Dan Da Dan “really hit home,” adding that he would keep watching it.

Dan Da Dan is off to a good start on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes, too, currently scoring 8.1 and 98% respectively ...

After years of publishing its PC games exclusively through the Epic Games Store and its own service, Ubisoft will now be releasing games on Steam, Digital Trends reported.

Landing on Steam first will be Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Ubisoft revealed. It’s worth noting that while you can play it without needing a separate Ubisoft Connect download, you will need a Ubisoft Connect Launcher account.

Mirage follows a character from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla called Basim, who attempts to uncover his past while training to become an assassin. Unlike other previous series entries, Mirage is a lot smaller in scope and goes back to the stealth-centric gameplay players liked pre-Origins ...
