Tesla finally made an app that turns your Apple Watch into a car key | It follows comments by Tesla boss Elon Musk back in March that such a feature could be on the way | An official Tesla app for the Apple Watch will arrive next week, Digital Trends reported. The app will show the current battery charge level, open the car’s frunk, and remotely enable the climate control system to make it comfortable inside before you show up. The most notable feature, however, is its ability to function as a key. The key, which for Tesla vehicle owners currently exists as part of the automaker's smartphone app, allows you to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle. The new feature brings extra convenience to Tesla owners with an Apple Watch as it means they won't always need to have their phone with them when engaging with their car.
