Boston Dynamics teams up with Toyota to create better bipedal robots

Roboticists are looking to build smarter bots for industrial settings

Boston Dynamics is partnering with Toyota Research Institute (TRI) to develop general-purpose, AI-powered humanoid robots, Digital Trends reported.

Boston Dynamics will contribute its new and highly impressive electric Atlas robot to the task, while TRI will utilize its industry-leading Large Behavior Models (LBMs). LBMs are to robotics as LLMs are to chatbots, with the former trained on a huge range of human behaviors that enable robots to move and act in a humanlike manner.

Roku update turns your TV into a home security monitor

Software update offers better experience with smart home cameras

Roku is planning to bring even tighter integration between the platform's operating system and smart home features, Digital Trends reported.

An update coming later this year will let users automatically cycle through camera feeds on their TV, with motion detection intelligently displaying the relevant camera feeds. The TV will also display additional notifications when an event is detected, though this will have to be enabled in the settings. And you’ll be able to watch all your camera feeds via a website, on a computer, or on your phone or tablet.

To make use of the system, you’ll need a Roku TV or Roku player connected to a Roku Smart Home camera or doorbell ...

Terrifier 3 is predicted to secure second spot, taking in around $10 million, down from its impressive $18.3 million last weekend, while The Wild Robot is likely to place third in its fourth week ...
