HOLIDAY GREETING CARDS with sentiment written by Garrison Keillor

Set of 10 cards (5 Christmas cards and 5 New Year’s cards)

Set of 20 cards (10 Christmas cards and 5 New Year’s cards

Christmas: A little girl is singing for the faithful to come ye Joyful and triumphant, a song she loves, And also the partridge in a pear tree And the golden rings and the turtle doves. In the dark streets, red lights and green and blue Where the faithful live, some joyful, some troubled, Enduring the cold and symptoms of the flu, Taking the garbage out and keeping the sidewalk shoveled. Not much triumph going on here—and yet There is much we do not understand. And my hopes and fears are met In this small singer holding onto my hand. Onward we go, faithfully, into the dark And are there angels hovering overhead? Hark.New Years: The year passes and the old man with the scythe Is mowing closer. He hasn’t been subtle, has he. Every day a few more people say goodbye, Which makes me want to be lighthearted, jazzy, Put out the hors d’oeuvres and the champagne, Sing God Bless America, You Are My Sunshine, In My Life, Amazing Grace, Purple Rain, I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight, and Auld Lang Syne. We’ve mourned for our dead and been sorry a Long enough time. Now I take your hand, your Eyes alight, and let us sing an aria, To love and beauty and youth and grandeur. May 2022 bring us before it has flown What we would have wished for had we only known.
