Break Science presents the Electro Soul Jazz Sessions

Friday & Saturday, Oct. 1 & 2 - 10pm

Pioneers of Colorado’s electronic music explosion, Break Science soars ahead of the curve, with a decade-plus trendsetting the game.

Steeped in filial traditions of East Coast hip hop, and futuristic soundwaves of the now, the Denver-based duo continues to scale creative mountains.

Comprised of keyboardist / producer / jazz pianist Borahm Lee (Pretty Lights Live Band) and funk / hip-hop drummer extraordinaire Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Break Science traces roots to the embryonic seeds that flowered the electro-soul movement. The pair have consistently ascended the cutting edge of live dance music culture with an array of blistering live performances in any number of settings or configurations.

Paa Kow and his Afro-Fusion Orchestra

Saturday Oct. 2 - 7pm

Having toured internationally, Paa Kow, (pronounced Pah-Ko), blends rhythm and artistry from his home with jazz and African roots creating his own Afro-Fusion sound.

Dubbed "Ghana's most artistic drummer" (Modern Ghana), he plays a custom, hand-carved, traditionally inspired Ghanaian drum set that is the only one of its kind in the world, guaranteeing an extraordinary cultural and musical experience.

Some Assembly Required is an immersive multi-genre live performance band and artist collective created by poet/author Dominique Christina and Hip Hop artist DNA Picasso. Live music is a language. Some Assembly Required demonstrates the links between contemporary music and the forms that birthed it. Which is just a dope way to say we do everything: poetry, jazz, hip hop, neo soul, classic covers, original music, and collaborative pieces composed by musical giants like jazz pianist Peter Stolzman and through partnerships with the Boulder Symphony. Music is our love language. Let's fall in love.
