JOIN US for an evening of inspiration! First Shift Justice Project’s 6th Annual LUNAFEST is happening LIVE on Thursday, October 6th starting at 6 p.m. at the Arlington Cinema Drafthouse!

LUNAFEST is a nationally touring film festival that features award-winning short films by, for, and about women. Some will touch your heart while others will make you laugh out loud, and all are directed by accomplished women filmmakers presented with the goal of raising awareness of, and funds for, women’s issues.

Proceeds from this event will support First Shift's work to help Virginia working mothers fight discrimination in the workplace.

Chicago based Comedian Paul Farahvar delights audiences with dry humor, centered on being the son of disappointed middle eastern parents and a former professional. After becoming a regular at Chicago stand up clubs like Zanies, Comedy Bar and Laugh Factory, Farahvar left his law practice. He was given the rare opportunity to host and produce his own monthly show called "Drink Date Laugh" about dating and a comedic game show called "Everyone's a Lawyer" both at the World Famous Laugh Factory. He also regularly tours the country as a headliner and the handpicked opener for for national headliners Demetri Martin, Dustry Slay and Gary Gulman. He was runner up in the Chicago Reader for Best Stand up Comedian in 2021. His Dry Bar special is releasing in 2022.
