Hi folks, what's the craic?

What's that phrase? New transport systems are like buses? You wait ages for one and then a whole lot more get announced... it's something like that anyway.

This week has been heavy on new sci-fi style transport system announcements.

Plans for a new rail bus were revealed on Monday, a seaglider capable of travelling between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in just 30 minutes was shown off on Tuesday and then, as if that wasn't enough, Elon Musk came along on Thursday.

The world's richest man announced a new system called the Dubai Loop which will provide 17km worth of tunnels underground in what he described as a "wormhole".

Away from the Dubai traffic problem, we found out that Dubai Mall is adding 65 new shops and restaurants in the next couple of weeks.

The new department is sure to bring even more visitors from around the world to the mall. And speaking of visitors, we revealed why more tourists than ever came here in the last 12 months.

And with a record number of visitors arriving, hopefully we'll have that wormhole sooner rather than later.
