Throwback Thursday with AAS! After debuting at AAS 2012, Bottersnikes & Gumbles was greenlit as a co-production between Australia's Cheeky Little Media and Mighty Nice, and Kickstart Entertainment and CAKE in the UK. The 52 x 11-minute show has aired globally in 17 languages on Netflix, winning prestigious industry awards including a Pulcinella for Best Kids TV Series. The original stories that spawned the concept have been republished by HarperCollins, and a successful Gumble Run game developed in partnership with the BBC laid the groundwork for an app release in 2018. Want to be among the first to discover this year’s best new animation concepts developing in Asia-Pacific? Registration for AAS 2020 is now open, and a $200 Early-Bird discount is in effect until Friday, August 28. In light of the continued uncertainty around the coronavirus pandemic, Kidscreen has adjusted its cancellation policy for AAS so that if it’s not possible to produce a live event because of COVID-19, all registration fees will be fully refunded. |
