A great way to do that is to work on low point control with your wedges and you can do that by asking yourself one question while chipping and pitching: is my trail arm doing its job? At setup, check that your trail arm is relaxed. Many amateurs will mistakenly keep their trail arm stiff and straight at setup which makes it hard to rotate properly. As you take the club back, your trail arm should remain slightly bent. Then, during the downswing, your trail arm should start to straighten as you reach impact. This will help you deliver the club at a consistent low point every time. | |
