BY ADAM DAIGLE | Staff writer

Good morning, Acadiana Business newsletter readers. It's time for headlines. Let's get down to business.

Breaking news this morning (I paused sending out the newsletter for this): An Ohio company will build a production facility in Jeff Davis Parish that will employ 70 and supply the planned First Solar plant in Iberia Parish.

Ice Industries will invest $6 million to build in the Lacassine Industrial Park just off Interstate 10 and will initially focus on roll forming steel back rails for photovoltaic solar panels which First Solar, which is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2025, Louisiana Economic Development officials announced this morning.

It's the first large supplier and spinoff of the First Solar project.

You can read the story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
