Every Nomination Gets a Full-page Feature – so Make Yours Count!Every year, we see hundreds of entries for the Best of Show Awards at the NAB Show 2021 – a celebration of the best in broadcast tech across 8 industry-leading publications. Every single nominee gets the same full-page feature in our post-show Program Guide, exposing your product and your brand to more than 95,000 readers across our 8 publications. So whether you win or not, you’re getting a huge opportunity for national exposure. And that means you need to write the best application possible – to show off your product in the best possible light. Here’s what you need to know to make the most of your Best of Show award application: 1. Show us your best shotsYour products are going up against some of the best in the industry – and a poor-quality photo could really let you down. So find your best photographer, your best angles, and your best lighting – and send us the most professional product photo you can. Remember when submitting your nomination text and photo that they are also the elements that will appear on your feature page in the post-show Program Guide.
2. Give us everything you’ve gotThere’s a maximum word count for a reason – so use it! We need more than just a web link and a few short sentences. We need to know all the ins and outs of your tech product: the benefits for your customers, the different ways you can use it, and all the special things that make it unique (or better than the rest!). 3. Keep it simpleYou’ve got a full-page feature and a captive tech audience. But not every reader is an engineer. Any complex images (like flow charts or technical diagrams) won’t translate well onto the page. And an exhaustive list of technical specifications won’t make for an entertaining read. So keep your images simple, and your descriptions accessible – so your entry can appeal to as many people as possible. 4. Make it clearEven the simplest tech products need a proper explanation when they’re down on the page. And our readers won’t all have the chance to see and touch your tech in person. So if you want our judges and our readers to give your products the time and attention they deserve, make it easy for them – give them the clear and straightforward explanations they need to understand your product completely. |
