May 2020 Hi All, Gosh where to start …….. firstly hoping that everyone is well during these very surreal times and not yet doing the loop the loop. I think we are very lucky to have a hobby that helps us to keep sane and grounded. I can’t even begin to think how I would cope without a head full of new projects …… My main project has been sorting my workroom which over Thimblestitch’s life has become a pick up and dumping ground, really really bad, so bad I didn’t even have room to have one of my many sewing machines out ready to go !! I was going to do it while I was recuperating with my hip! Well that was not going to ever happen so this has been the perfect opportunity. I now have a sewing machine up and overlocker, am sat writing this newsletter (at long last I hear you all cry!) on my table ….Its not perfect yet but I have head space now to be creative. By the way my hip is fab!! A huge thank you to all the ladies who volunteered to make NHS scrub bags with the fabric I donated and those who also used some of their precious stash as well. I lost count of how many we made. If you follow me on Facebook or have seen my homepage on the website you will know that I have been opening Thimblestitch on Tuesday mornings for postal orders and pick ups and now I am letting you into the shop if you want to choose fabric, obviously keeping you and us safe. Let me know if there is anything you need on [email protected] From the 16th of June I will be open all day on a Tuesday to start with and see how it goes. Thank you so much for all your orders so far. Hopefully keeping you all ticking over, best seller elastic !! As for the workshops they are still all on hold until we have a clearer idea of whats happening and when I can start to rearrange everything. Thank you all for being so understanding during this difficult time, been quite a head trip for a lot of people. |
