Insurance crisis: Gov. Jeff Landry has signed into law several bills aimed at getting a handle on the state's insurance crisis, Sam Karlin reports. The bills, championed by Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple, are largely aimed at encouraging more insurers to join Louisiana's fractured market.

Constitution rewrite: Lawmakers and other delegates would meet to rewrite the state's constitution in August, instead of in May, under a bill the House passed Tuesday, Tyler Bridges reports. It's unclear if the Senate will approve the bill. Most voters don't think the issue is important, a recent poll shows.

Voters want ESAs: A recent poll shows most Louisiana voters want the state to cough up the cash to help families pay for private school, Patrick Wall reports. A bill the Senate has stalled would have let families use state dollars to pay for tuition, tutoring, and other expenses.
