Today, futures are up ahead of today's opening bell. S&P 500 contracts are showing a 1.1% gain. APA Corp [APA] - Last Close: $37.38 APA Corp is moving higher on upbeat earnings results. The oil & gas exploration company released a Form 8-K this morning detailing several bullish developments at the company's subsidiary, Kinetik Holdings. Kinetik reported a stronger-than-expected quarter and hiked its full-year revenue view in light of the performance. The firm also reported several promising business updates, such as the closing of a secondary offering with another subsidiary, Apache. APA is leading the S&P 500 with a 9.1% gain on the news. Vroom [VRM] - Last Close: $1.08 Vroom is continuing its hot streak in today's premarket. The used automobile eCommerce platform shot to a 32.4% gain in Tuesday's session after posting better-than-expected Q1 earnings results. News of the strong quarter rallied the stock through Tuesday's trading session, and it carried its momentum into the after-hours trading session. Today, VRM is up 8.4% on active volume, adding to its Tuesday gains. Embark Technologies [EMBK] - Last Close: $1.43 Embark Technologies is surging after a strong earnings report. The self-driving trucking technology firm reported a quarterly loss of $0.04 per share in its Q1 earnings report, released after Tuesday's closing bell. Consensus estimates expected a wider loss of $0.08 per share. Embark also reported several bullish business updates, including several new partnerships and promising test data from the company's technology tests. EMBK is up 26.6% on active trading volume in today's premarket trading session. Exicure [XCUR] - Last Close: $0.1063 News of a private placement is rallying shares of Exicure. After yesterday's closing bell, the early-stage biotech firm announced it had secured a $5 million capital injection through a private placement priced at a market premium. A science-focused South Korean investment group, CBI Co., purchased about 26 million shares at a price of $0.1937 per share, representing a 45% premium to the stock's 10-day volume weighted-average share price. Exicure intends to use the proceeds to support development of its preclinical programs, as well as working capital and general corporate purposes. XCUR is today's most active premarket stock, and it's currently up 32.6%. |
